THE COST OF STRESS
Let's chat about summer for a moment. We all know it's a natural part of our lives, especially when our vacations, travel, and social events start to spiral.
The thing is...these stresses aren't just messing with your to-do list, they're impacting your sleep, your mood, and your health.
Now, the hidden toll of stress... it's BIG. Did you know stress is the top reason many people toss and turn at night? Sleep is vital because it's when our bodies recharge and rebalance, and our immune system and brain get a proper cleanse.
But here's the kicker: Stress doesn't stop at ruining your sleep. It can also mess with your eating habits, trigger cravings, and disrupt your immune, digestive, cardiovascular, and reproductive systems. It can cause headaches, lead to chronic illnesses like diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure, and even cause depression and anxiety.
This is why we need to prioritize managing our stress in a healthy way, daily. And there are many awesome ways to do this:
Meditation, regular exercise , embracing nature , journaling, indulging in relaxing hobbies , or nurturing strong social bonds .
